The CE mark is a certificate that we have followed all standards and regulations regarding the product, which means that it is safe and that different CE-marked products can be compared with each other as they meet the same requirements. It is also a trade mark, which means that it can be sold freely within the EU. Northcone’s CE mark is located on the inside of the pole at the level of the door.
For many products, it is enough to fill in a “declaration of conformity” in which the manufacturer assures that the product complies with the EU’s safety requirements. Products that fall under the category of risky or safety products, for example lighting poles, must, on the other hand, be examined by an independent third-party body – so-called notified body – which, during annual factory/production inspections, assesses and checks that the lasting performance of the lighting poles complies with the requirements set by the standard. The CE marking, and the sign itself, is proof that this is the case. In our case, it is RISE that has the role of carrying out the factory inspections.
